To get to Mendoza, we took a night bus (15 hours) from Buenos Aires. The "ejecutivo cama," basically a lazy boy, wasn't the most restful, but it did the job. Coming from party hostel vibes in BA, we opted for a quieter hostel with more of a community but overshot as we had the entire place to ourselves most of the stay. We did get to meet two cool people, Katja & Martin, who were 4 months into their trip biking from the south of Argentina all the way up to Vancouver shooting to finish in 2 years. Humbling both to the duration & physical exertion of our trip. Also at our hostel, were two of the best pups - Sonny & Naomi - they ran 5 miles with Kyle multiple times during our stay.

Most of our time in Mendoza was focused on the wine with our favorite being a self-guided bike tour. We toured Pulmary & Kaiken and had lunch at Gieco. Pulmary is an organic vineyard founded in 1998 with their tanks in a building built 100 years ago; we got a tour from the owner and were fortunate to try a couple of wines directly from the barrels & then compare them to the bottled versions.
