Koh Lipe is Kelsey's ideal beach vacation spot; the only thing missing would be a nice beach break for surfing. It was a lovely, slow visit with her dad posted up in a bare-bones, but very comfortable, beach bungalow for 9 days. Kelsey's dad met her at the international customs waiting area (i.e. shaded chairs on the beach); it was almost a much faster process than the last time as Kelsey's passport was one of the first given back, but then her bag was one of the last brought to shore.

We had a leisurely stroll to the bungalow on the opposite side of the island stopping halfway for coffee & lunch. Our days quickly fell into a calming routine. Lattes & light breakfast beachfront, yoga, & some sort of excursion before the sun got too intense in the mornings. We tested different breakfast spots, rented bikes one day to check out the farthest side of the island, and took frequent strolls in the 7/11s for AC breaks. After watching several kayaks capsize while chilling in the safety of the shade, we decided that activity was beyond us. In the evenings, we played cards in our hotel's lounge awaiting the eventual cool breeze off the ocean to greet us, and watched the full moon's effect on the shifting tides.
