When it comes to the best pizza in the world, Naples, Italy is often the first destination that comes to mind. This was certainly the case for our recent trip to the city, where we stopped over for a few days on our way out of the country.

While our main goal was to try as much delicious pizza as we could, we were pleasantly surprised by the city's overall atmosphere and culture. The intriguing architecture and maze-like streets made for a fun walking adventure, and we enjoyed exploring the city's many hidden corners.

We made sure to visit the city's most famous pizzerias, Sorbillo and L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele (made famous in the movie Eat, Pray, Love), where we indulged in thin-crust pizzas including Pesto, Margherita, and Diavola. While we didn't find any other standout dishes during our stay, we did appreciate the opportunity to experience everyday life in a city with a lot of culture but relatively little tourism.

Overall, we would recommend Naples as a travel destination to anyone looking to understand Italian culture through the lens of everyday life. Just make sure to bring your appetite for pizza!
