As avid explorers of Northern and Central Italy, Kelsey and I decided it was time to venture south and immerse ourselves in the culture of Palermo, Italy. With its UNESCO heritage, exceptional food, and pleasant weather, Palermo offered us the perfect destination.

Our accommodation was an inviting Airbnb, complete with a shared kitchen and a rooftop patio that provided stunning views of the city. For three delightful nights, we wandered through the city's narrow streets, admiring the architectural wonders that seemed to grace every corner.

The food in Palermo proved to be just as exquisite as the city itself. We indulged in sumptuous meat and cheese plates, washing them down with glasses of wine as we enjoyed the unique Italian tradition of aperitivo. But it was the Arancini that truly captured our hearts – and our taste buds. We made it our mission to sample as many different kinds as possible during our stay.

Despite the potential for unforeseen challenges that every trip holds, our visit to Palermo was smooth sailing, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the city's rich history and irresistible culinary scene.

If you ever find yourself in Italy, I highly recommend making your way down to Palermo, where architectural marvels and gastronomic delights await you.
