Koh Lipe is the dream island. There are no cars, everything is within 30 minutes by foot, and while filled with tourists, not overly touristic. We stayed in a lovely hostel with the comfiest beds & we had just moved from a Marriott. Our hostel had a cute cafe on the first floor & within minutes on either side of us, we could grab delicious, cheap food along the walking streets. We filled up on banana rotis & pushed the limits of our spice tolerances. We discovered there aren't any bad beaches on the island and enjoyed many of the BOGO cocktails everywhere from fancy resorts to laidback scuba bars. It's a stretch to get here, but this is what the Thai beaches really are about.
